Mechanical Engineering Department
This Mechanical Engineering is the core branch of engineering that has always remained in vogue and will continue to do so. This is why Mechanical Engineering is popularly known as the evergreen branch. As the industrial sector has expanded drastically, the need for more mechanical engineers has increased proportionately. To cater to this need and to build up individuals with initiative, creativity, talent, leadership and the capability to adopt new technologies, we go beyond the charter of the syllabus. We encourage the students for participating in the national events like BAJA SAE India, SUPRA SAE India, Effi-cycle and GO-Kart and Baha Competition etc where students have to design, manufacture and drive their own designed vehicle on track.
The department has well-equipped laboratories of Strength of Materials, Thermal engineering, Theory of Machines, Fluid Mechanics, Dynamics of Machines, Heat & Mass Transfer, I. C. Engine, workshop and Machine shop containing modern machines. Through the experiments performed in the labs, the students get practical knowledge supplementing the learning gathered in the classrooms. We are in the process of establishing tie-ups with various industries for mutual sharing of the academic-industry experiences.
