Computer Science Engineering Department

This department is running the Under Graduate Bachelor of Engineering course since 2006 and Masters of Technology since 2011. Along with providing students the technical knowledge according to the curriculum as per specified by RGTU university, we impart the practical guidance to meet the ever updating demands of the corporate sector. Emphasis is given on latest technologies like cloud computing, android, soft computing, data mining etc. so as to excel in the modern scenario. The department is equipped with six full furnished computer laboratories having systems of advanced configurations providing high speed (8 Mbps) Internet facility. Learning is made easier and interesting for students via Pearson-Erudite smart classrooms.

The basic aim of the department is to maintain excellence in academics as well as research. The students are given an opportunity to obtain sound understanding of the concepts. Their foundation in Computer science will be such that they would be preferred by the industries and service sectors to meet the global requirements. The department focuses on the study of theoretical foundation of information and computation and of practical techniques for their implementations and opportunity in computer science.

Apart from regular academic assignments students also participate in sports, cultural and other extracurricular activities to ensure their grooming in an overall manner. The department keeps organizing various technical activities in association with the CSI Students Chapter for which the Institute has taken membership since 2010. Most of our students are placed in reputed companies like cognizant, persistence, Wipro, Accenture, HCL etc. on higher packages while some are pursuing higher studies like MS and M.Tech.

We have highly qualified and experienced faculty .To keep themselves and students updated, they keep attending and conducting workshops and seminars. To make interaction better with students there is 1:20 ratio between faculty and students. Research work is carried out by faculties to explore more of their technical skills to keep themselves abreast of latest scenario as well as for the purpose of pursuing Ph.D. Students is also encouraged for the research work and they are also having good number of publications in reputed journals/conferences. Latest journals and magazines are available in the library for the same.
