| Presently, the school is conducting the program of B.Sc. Biotechnology and Computer Science. From July 2008, B.Sc. Microbiology, is also being introduced which is proposed to be extended to post- graduate and doctoral programs at appropriate time. All programs are affiliated to Devi Ahilya Vishwa Vidyalaya and Higher Education, Bhopal. All programs are run with well equipped laboratories, able lab assistants and highly qualified and experienced faculty.
School is also exploring the field of nanoscience which is a comparatively newer field of science across the world, more so in India. It is said that developments in nanosciences and nanotechnology are going to not only affect the entire world but it will also change the lifestyles of all. |

| BIST |

| BIST is a collaborative program in which students will obtain a Pennsylvania State Baccalaureate degree in Information Sciences & Technology (IST) by first completing two years of defined study at SIMS, and then completing two years of study as a campus of Penn State ( 2+2 IST program).
After completion of two years at SIMS the students will be admitted as s third year students in IST major leading to a B.S degree in IST from Penn State, USA. Each student will be assigned to one of eight Commonwealth campuses ( Penn State Berks, Greater Allegheny, Lehigh, Schuylkill, Wikes-Barre, Worthington-Scranton, Hazelton, or York) by the Director of Commonwealth Campuses India Initiative. After satisfactory completion of all degree requirements at the designated campuses, the student will be awarded Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree IST by the College of Information Sciences & Technology at Penn State, USA. BIST focuses on introducing the student to the role of information systems & technologies in achieving a variety of system goals. Emphasis will be placed on the theories & skills required for planning, developing, implementing, & managing the integration of information technology & different systems. |

| The growth of Bio-technology in the country during last one decade has been tremendous and it is growing with geometrical proportions for the simple reason that it works on the principal of eco-friendly processes and more production with less resources.
Bio-technology is applicable across a vast spectrum of areas e.g. pharmaceuticals, food, fertilizers etc. etc. Presently, India has 235 Bio-tech companies and more are coming up mainly because this industry has a global potential. Present turn over the Industry is around five billion dollars. It is estimated that this industry will create one millionjobs in coming 5 years. Since this is a scalable industry, starting own Bio-technology industry is going to be easy in addition to vast job opportunities. |

| The importance of Microbiology in the country and at global level has been experienced during the last century. To practice Biotechnology, one must have a strong base of Microbiology along with other basic sciences. Keeping this in mind, we are introducing a unique program on Microbiology along with Pharmaceutical Chemistry and Life Science as an additional subject. The subject has enormous job prospects and chances of self-employment. We have unmatched know-how on the subject as our team leader is basically from this field of science.
Our program also offers industrial visits and summer-training programs for all the students to enable create connectivity of the students with the industry from the very beginning. Inclusion of computer sciences as an additional subject makes the program more valuable.
